About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life one day at a time.

ABOUT ME

Hi, obviously you know my name but I would just like to formally introduce myself, my name is Rachel Torres and I was born and raised in the busy city of San Francisco, California. Recently my parents moved to Antioch where they bought a new lovely house but as San Francisco is my home place I still travel back to the city often and stay with friends. I don't think I will ever get tired of my city.

I am an outgoing person. I love having fun and having a good laugh. I like going out to dance, drink and party. I also like down time, where I can just sit around and enjoy everything around me. I love going to beaches and parks, I enjoy getting out and seeing new things. I'm always down to try new things and talk about anything and everything with people. I like bike riding, cooking, painting, learning new languages and hanging out with new and different people. I don't think Im shy, but when it comes to singing in front of people I do get a little embarressed. I have goals and asperations for my future, and one of those goals of mine are to travel as much as possible before I officially become a teacher. I love talking with friends, giving advice, getting new advice, and just enjoy the presence of friends.

I love everything; from traveling to different countries, towns, cities, to eating new foods and meeting new people. I have been to Italy once, for 5 weeks and it was amazing! I will never forget the people I met and the wonderful experiences I had traveling from city to city. The streets, the air, the building, the terrain, the art, the language, the food, it filled my every appetite for life and I am always looking for new experiences to fill my life. In Italy I realised the pleasures of life and I will always value it, this is why I enjoy traveling. It's a feeling everyone should experience themselves, they need to get out into the world and travel and fill their lives with life. I've traveled to Italy, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, New Jersy. New York, Conneticute, Boston, New Hampshire, Maine, Texas, Nevada, Wasginhton, Colorado and Canada. This summer I plan to Travel to Italy once again, France and Spain. I can't wait until the summer to create new and exciting experiences for myself. The next places I would like to travel to are Japan, Astralia and Guatemala.

I have other joys and passions in life. I love art work, art is every where and anyone is capable of creating something beautiful. Art is based in how you dress yourself, the terrain of the land, the paintings and drawing from professionals to the finger paintings made by children. Art is every where and I love it, appreciate it, understand it, read it, and feel it. There will always be a certain feeling, emotion and thought that the artist put in their art work and it is there for us to interprete for ourselves. Art is apart of life and, again, I love it.

My next passion and love is working with children. Ever since I can remember I have always dreamed about growing up and help children, shape their lives and help them better themselves. Right now I am in school and have been researching about the development of children and how certain up bringings can affect their life in a negative and positive way. I love children, they're not afraid to tell you what's on their mind, they love having fun and their excited to understand the world they live in.

PHILOSOPHY

My idea of life is to enjoy it one day at a time. Don't live your life in fear or you won't ever know what life has to offer. I want live life to the fullest gaining new experience to better myself and my knowledge of the world. And what better way to do that than getting out in the world. After all God said, "Tomorrow is not promised" and I plan on living each day like there is no tomorrow. No I don't want to wait until Im married and have children, I want to live it now and for the rest of my existance on earth.

I don't like to push my philosophy's or religious views on others, but I don't mind sharing them with those who are willing to hear me out. God gave us life to enjoy it, to create relationships with others, with him, to help those we love and those we call family and friends. He gave us the world so that we learn and experience life for ourselves, it is what has made us the individuals we are today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Italy for the first time I couldn't believe I was there, it was an amazing moment that I will never forget. I went to the Sistin Chapel and stood there in amazement. When I was younger I always dreamed about going to Italy, seeing the Sistin Chapel and experiencing that culture for the first time, and when I was in Italy I couldn't believe it came true. It was amazing and exciting. Im excited to be going back again!

Another great experience I had was when I went to the east coast (of the United States) and went on a backpacking trip. I went white water rafting, rock climbing, camping, kayaking and I had an amazing time. It was another trip I wouldn't forget. Every traveling experience I've had has always made a give impack on my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to cook new foods. I want to learn new languages and meet you know people. I want them to educate me about their culture, life, rituals, and relgious views. I am always open to new expereiences. I am willing to be taught anything, from telling the differences between wines and being taught he history of a country, I am more than willing to learn and share my experiences with others.
