I love people. I love languages. I love adventure. Travel encompasses all of these! :)
I'm a nurse and I like to move around to experience new cultures and learn from other people. I grew up in a large family and have learned the value of building strong relationships and working through the "tough" stuff - in the end it's worth it!! You walk away a better person and with stronger friendships.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once...in Paris. My sister and I were looking for a place to camp and this young couple told us that the campsites were closed for the season. They invited us to stay at their place, even though we could communicate only minimally. We shared a bottle of wine...it was an amazing experience!!

I'd have to say one of my most memorable moments was in a rural village in Burkina Faso - we were invited to this outdoor disco. We showed up at this walled in compound and it was pitch black. Some of the locals hooked up speakers to this car battery and these guys started dancing and breaking. The only light was from the moon and you could only see silhouettes. Just an unreal experience!
