About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to paradise.

ABOUT ME

Well, I have had a random past 4 years. Lived out of the country for most of this time, mainly in Africa. But recently I decided to venture back to the UK for university as I thought it was about time to get serious :) I moved away from the UK at the age of 18, starting my journey in Tanzania to volunteer in an orphanage. 6 months ended up being a year, as I got caught by the 'claw of Africa' as some might say. But you can't be a volunteer forever so I decided to move to Egypt as I'd always wanted to become a scuba diving instructor, so I did and in 2010 I started my training in Sharm el sheikh. I was lucky enough to find a job after I'd passed and ended up working out there for 2 years, which is where I started my couch surfing experience. I hosted many couchsurfers from across the globe and had the time of my life doing so. But 'living the dream' had to come to an end at some point so in September last year I moved back home. Since then I worked as waitress in a restaurant, a bit different I know, but I enjoyed it whatever. University was never my thing, but this year I thought I was ready to get stuck in to something new. I wanted carry on my outdoor lifestyle so now I am currently studying an Outdoor Education degree in Devon and found new hobbies such as rock climbing and kayaking to be my new adventure. Well, for the time being anyway. We will see how long it takes for me to get itchy feet again, and go off to explore the world again :)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for living, you make it what you want. Live for today and not for tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It seems like forever since I've been in the couchsurfing community. I was an avid host at one time, hosting people from all around the world most days of the week! Hopefully I can get back in to hosting again, but not sure how many travellers come passing through this small Devonshire town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my couchsurfing experiences have been amazing, I couldn't pick one out for you! I would just like to thank the most amazing people I have met through CS for everything that you have done for me. We met as strangers and departed as friends.

Interests

Well of course the number one would have to be Scuba Diving. I'm also a big fan of Photography, and love to go out and shoot some amazing artwork. Travelling is also one of the biggest loves of my life, but recently had to put that on hold for the time being. Just getting in to kayaking, canoeing and rock climbing through university so generally I just love the outdoors!
