My name is Rachid. I am the drummer of the Band SHAWN. I started making music when I was 10 years old, during school I started playing in a band with my best buddy Christof. After a couple of years we found Morten, who was looking for a drummer and a singer / guitarist and SHAWN. was born.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have the luck and the chance to play all around Germany and Europe, but unfortunatley cannot afford to stay in Hotels all the time, that's why we were on couchsurfing in the first place. As openminded musicians and persons and after a few stays with couchsurfing hosts, we now prefer a floor in a flat with nice people/hosts instead of checking in in an unpersonal hotel. We love catching up with our hosts about everything like music, work, interests, maybe going for a drink or two in the city or their balcony and invite them to our shows, seeing that they like what they hear.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We were drinking in an irish pub with a live music show a couple of beers and asked the band for a featering. They were open minded and into it, so we played "Leaving on a Jet Plane" in this overcrowded place with this band from Dublin. The whole pub was singing along. Best feeling ever.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can play a little concert in your living room and free tickets, of course for the show we are playing in the city.
