ABOUT ME

Well....hmmmmm.... My name is Rachael. I'm from California- Norcal to be more specific. I'm from a small town, but go to school in a city, so I guess you could say I'm a city girl with a small-town heart. I love the hustle and bustle of the city, but the serenity and beauty of the country.

I'm living in Istanbul and working as a preschool teacher here.

I am an adrenaline junkie! Anything that makes my heart race and my palms sweat is my kind of endeavor. Having my stomach in my throat is one of my favorite feelings in the world (as well as having my mouth and lips feel like they are on fire from spicy food)! I've been Bungy Jumping, Skydiving (twice), white-water rafting, cliff-diving, I've swam with sharks.... and one of my life goals is to go to South Africa and go cage diving with a great white.

hmmm.... that's all I can think of right now, but I love meeting new people as well as seeing and experiencing new things, and I know that couchsurfing will help me do just that!
