ABOUT ME

Hi,

my name is Michal, but everyone around me calls me Radar. If we ever meet, you can ask me and I can tell you the origin of this nickname :)

Currently I live in Prague, Czech Republic, but I grew up 100 kilometers to the north of Prague, in the city of Liberec. I spent in Liberec nearly 20 years and went there to the elementary school and then to the german speaking grammar school. By that time I used to play floorball, the guitar (I've been also playing in a band :) and later (at about the age of 18) I started to play airsoft.

Then I moved to Prague to study and work, I started at the Czech Technical University, Faculty of electrical engineering, where I attended the IT classes. I also worked at the IT company as a service representative. After three years of being involved in IT I had to give up, as I just hated that stuff. To compensate the all-day-long sitting at the computer I started to go to the gym - unfortunately, that just didn't fullfil my needs to get the overall fitness, mobility and flexibility, so I started visiting a Krav Maga class.

After abou two years I switched the job, I switched the school and got involved much more in Krav Maga (and later also kettlebells). I begun to work as a Sales Country Leader for German Speaking countries in an online marketing company and attended a University of Economics to study the marketing communication. I also became a Krav Maga instructor during that time.

Nowadays I still study, and do my living as Primal Move, kettlebell and krav maga instructor.

Interests

Sports - western boxing, krav maga, kettlebells, barefoot walking/running, Primal Move, cycling, racket sports.

Films - Quentin, Kevin and Christopher is my big three.

Books - I'm much inspired by Tim Ferris, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Charles Baudelaire.

Music - Red Hot Chili Peppers. For ever and after. And funky of course.

Art - Andy Warhol and HR Giger. I know, horrible combination.
