About Me

Multi-tasking 3 unrelated things at the same time (story of my life)

Curious about everything. I keep my life as spontaneous as possible. I love to hear people's life stories, they are like walking books to me.

Spontaneity. Unconditional love. Corny stuff like that. I'm looking for shortcuts to perpetual and healthy happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Active host and surfer. I've also organized various get-togethers. I like to spread the word about how cool CS friends who might not normally consider it.

The learning never ends...

History, politics, economics maybe? Sometimes? I change interests from one year to the next. I enjoy meditation. Dance salsa to de-stress (3 drinks minimum is a must). I also like to work out... then do some crazy Wim Hof Method stuff like ice baths.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: I could watch Jurassic Park and the Matrix 100 times. Artsy fartsy films if I'm in the mood. On occasion I also like to watch thought-provoking anime.

MUSIC: Depends on mood, could be from Mexican folk to rock to electronic music. Depeche Mode. However, If I hear a song on the radio more than 3 times a day, I probably don't like it...

BOOKS: Anything that makes me fly or challenge my thinking. I'd like to write at least one book before I die...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my stable, cushy, comfortzoned career and hometown to move to Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I strongly believe that paradoxically tolerance, respect, and wisdom comes from knowing yourself first. The rest is automatic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A laid-back, no-expectations, and respectful attitude. I'm also very clean and make an effort to leave a zero-impact in my host's home.

And, if you're my first host of the trip, I'll have with me some local Mennonite cheese and tortillas!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, China, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
