ABOUT US

We (Erik and Radha) live in Washington state, on a small island called Marrowstone. We've been in transition, a year cycle touring and then a summer working odd jobs, volunteering at a farm, and now, we've moved from Vermont to Washington in the US (clear across the country). Erik's a blacksmith, Radha's a mushroom hunter , massage therapist, and circus coach.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host and surf. I haven't been involved in about a year, but Radha has surfed in England, Italy, France, and Florida, USA. Such a great way to meet people and see their part of the neighborhood.
And I don't host right now, only because I am living in a very small house, with a open loft bedroom. But I hope to host again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people, which has been awesome. Bruno, a fellow couch surfer, took me mushroom hunting in my own backyard. And then I surfed in Orlando Fl and Barbara Welker, who works for Disney, took me galavanting through the theme parks.Love couchsurfing people. I got to stay with a doctor in Bologna and had a pizza night with all of her Dr. and nurse friends. And a host in Bordeaux took me out to the beach!

兴趣

Radha's interests: I am actively practicing and learning meditation and buddhist philosophy, really love Thich Nhat Hahn and I'm reading Lama Surya Das. Cool guys. I love backpacking, writing, cooking, gardening, helping at various non profits, meeting my neighbors, bicycling around town, reading lots and lots, and circus stuff.
Erik's interests: Tai Chi, blacksmithing, DIY projects (like homemade wood stoves and other energy efficient designs)

Radha: Standing on a glacier in Iceland. Kayaked off the coast of Washington USA and Canada, island hopped and caught some waves! Flying trapeze. Backpacking through the forests. WWOOFing in France.

Erik: 8 day survival trip as a teenager in the eastern Washington, USA wilderness.

Radha: I can teach you handstands or cartwheels if you have the space. Or help you get your splits. Or I can teach you the fine art of water spitting. I am learning to speak french and how to write.

Erik: small business skills, tai chi
