so! i just graduated college (yaaaay me!) and am celebrating by wandering around europe with my buddy jess. we're super nice lady folk into cool stuff! both of us work at an independent radio station here in san francisco (kusf) and are pretty nerdy about all things music, film, design, art, culture culture culture! we both laugh alot and tend to keep it upbeat... sarcastic and witty types, ya know

we love movies! and jess makes amazing movies! tarkovsky, jodorwsky, lynch, argento, cronenberg, kenneth anger... zardoz!!, petulia, network, thx 1138, stepford wives original, forbidden zone, 2001, sleeper, altered states, possession, space is the place, fantastic planet, jess is super into bergman! and i gotta say x-files is amazing... anyone?

we also love music musiiiiic, all things psychedelic, free jazz, weirdo dance, world, experimental, good metal, jess loves the minimal techno, anything gazey, vintage synth is nice, ambient, outsider, sleazy lounge, kraut.. you name it! we're both djs so we'd love your insider knowledge as to good venues/ shows/ record finds!

books wise im reading le guin right now (lady sci fi yes!) next one to conquer is ernst becker's "the denial of death", id love to get thru weiner's "cybernetics". i always enjoy borges, barthes, pynchon, mcluhan, beauvoir, and all books about design and music!
