About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life!

ABOUT ME

I've got a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. I'm easy-going and laid back, but know how to let loose and have a good time. I love animals, especially dogs. I take pictures of my food before I eat it. I update my status on Facebook a lot less than I used to.

PHILOSOPHY

As long as I'm having a good hair day, life is good!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about Couch Surfing a few years ago, but was never in a position to participate. I'm house-hunting right now, but wanted to get my account set up so that when I am in my new place, I'm up and ready to go to host couch surfers.

Interests

I try to live my life by the seat of my pants. I'm old enough to know not to waste time on things that don't make me happy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music. Seriously, my playlist ranges from Alanis Morissette to Zeppelin, with Jim Brickman, Ozzy & Elvis thrown in there.

When it comes to movies, I prefer to laugh, but love a good drama too.

I don't get to read as much as I would like since moving back to the US, but I find myself picking up non-fiction most of the time. If I want something light and easy, I'll read some chick lit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam was one of those trips that I will never forget. It was a 12-hour layover at Schippol Airport and I didn't want to waste my time sitting in the food court. I had read the book twice, but seeing the house in person was incredible. It really tied it all together.

My European trip for my 40th birthday was incredibly special. I stayed with a friend from high school, a girl I knew as a teenager, but hadn't seen in over 20 years. It was laid back and fun - the perfect mix of crazy & cozy. She took me to see a local "sport" called crossage, on a day trip to London and on some other shorter excursions around Mons and Brussels, Belgium.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a novice photographer. I can probably teach a newbie a thing or two, but would love to learn more from those who know better than I do. I'm kind of a tekkie, but mostly with Apple products. I barely remember how to use a Windows-based machine.
