Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I see a difference between being a tourist and being a traveler, and I like to think of myself as the second type. For me, the most important part of a foreign culture is its people—you meet them in real life, not in a hotel room. I also really enjoy sharing my own culture with others while learning about theirs, which was one of the reasons I chose to study abroad at an international university. While I can’t currently host people myself, I’d be more than happy to show them around my hometown—Kraków!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like ballroom dancing and enjoy music that’s great for dancing, especially 80s and 90s hits. My favorite movies are action and disaster films like 2012. I also enjoy watching documentaries about nature and travel. I’m not much of a reader, but I’m into podcasts, mostly about psychology, nature, politics, and current events.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

In October 2024, after finishing my studies and internships, I packed a suitcase and set off on a journey to Asia. It’s my first time traveling alone, backpacking, doing Workaway and Couchsurfing, and being so far from home. But along the way, I’ve already experienced so many amazing things and met incredible people. I’m confident I made the right decision, and this adventure is far from over!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Languages are one of my passions. I’ve been a German (and occasionally English) language tutor for a few years, I’ve also conducted group language lessons for a student organization. I’m always excited to improve my language skills and am particularly focused on enhancing my Italian, French, and Spanish. For me, immersing myself in a language-rich environment is one of the best ways to learn, and I love practicing with native speakers. I reached a communicative level in Italian thanks to language tandems during my studies abroad in Germany and improved my French by interacting with French-speaking guests during my Workaway in Vietnam.

I’d love to share my culture and the experiences I’ve gained from all the countries I’ve visited. I think I’d make a great conversation or travel buddy!
