About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be happy :) enjoy every moment, see everything as an adventure... explore the world, do lots and learn to surf bigger waves.

ABOUT ME

I come from one of the most beautiful places on earth, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. They have such a great community of people there and live a laid back and peaceful life. My friends on the island are fantastic!!
I love life on the island but also feel like there is not enough time in life to experience all of the amazing places out there in the world so I do try to travel often. I've spent time in Europe, the US, and Central America and have had such great experiences.
I also love to dance, ski, surf, swim and go camping. Road trips are so good :) I love to have fun with friends.
Right now, I'm studying in Budapest in a Psychology Program at Eotvos Lorand University. Budapest is a really vibrant and exciting city and I've met lots of really great people here.
For the most part, life is very full and exciting and I don't think I could ever find myself bored in this world :)
I have a tendancy to try to organize groups of people to do fun activities...the enthusiasm somtimes bubbles over.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to have as many positive adventures as I can in this life, smile, laugh and have fun! no stress. I hope that my contribution to the human experience is happiness, enthusiasm and caring for people and the world in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to see some more places in the world, meet new and openminded people and offer other people a place to stay, a spot to pitch a tent, or just a place to land. It happens quite often that travellers from other places have stayed at my place, whether it's through friends, school, or someone I picked up hitchhiking. I've met great people, so I hope couchsurfing will be another venue for making new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any official "couchsurfing" experiences but I have slept on many people's couches and had many people crash at my place...on my couch and in my yard.. I've met lots of people in the couchsurfing community through other friends too. That's taken me to Vienna, Hawaii, Iceland, and the U.S

Music, Movies, and Books

House music, live music! I love music! And who knew Germany had such a great music scene!!
I haven't read a book in a while but I really loved Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins and I'm working on a collection of Roald Dahl short stories (he's crazy!)
I go in for the cinematography more than the plot when I see a movie so my fave is a macedonian film called "Before the Rain" but I like a good action or mind bending movie too.....just nothing tooo scary!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed overnight in the Mayan Ruins at Tikal, Guatemala. The stones totally shine silver in the moonlight and it is so eerie but beautiful.
Hitchhiked from Canada to Guatemala and back. It took a long time but was such an adventure!
Went on a surfing trip around Maui Hawaii in a volkswagen van....it was fantastic!
This summer we drove around the Balkans in an old blue VW van that we bought for super cheap in Hungary. We toured romania, bulgaria, macedonia, albania, croatia, montenegro, and drove it up to germany. Most people thought that the van wouldn't make it ...but no problem there!! One stop in a Bulgarian backyard mechanic shop and the van was good to go!
Moved to Budapest to study and that's been a really big adventure

Teach, Learn, Share

I really enjoy fun loving people, who are down to earth and excited about life :) I also appreciate honest, open minded people
