关于我

Raised in a family of eight and from where I'm the last born, I spent most of my early life growing in a village and later moved to the Lakeside City of Kisumu. Ever since I was young I've had this dream to meet and interact with different people from all over the World. Couchsurfing provides exactly that platform and gives an opportunity to see this world, meet people and cultures beyond imagination. I'm an open minded fella who believes on right for expression and general universal human rights. I'm also so passionate about serving the marginalized population; something I've been doing for the better part of my life. We live in a small and so beautiful world 🌎 thus always keen to networking, friendship and being nice to each amazing people we meet in this journey of life. You never know where we will meet next! Let's love, support, welcome and appreciate each other!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

As a young Black African and first time International traveler, in 2023/24 I took a bold step that meant a lot to me personally. I bought a small, old car in Toronto, Canada more than 20 years old, purchased for less than $1,000 then decided to drive across the country alone. That little car carried me from Toronto and Orangeville all the way across Canada, through every province and city I mentioned, meeting people along the way and proving to myself that courage matters more than comfort. From Orangeville, Ontario (one hour from Toronto) all the way to Vancouver, British Columbia; over 4,400 km across forests, prairies, and the Rocky Mountains, passing through Thunder Bay, Regina, and Calgary before reaching the Pacific coast. From Vancouver, I took the ferry to Vancouver Island (Victoria), then crossed into the U.S. through Seattle, explored the city, continued to Las Vegas, and later to Asheville, North Carolina, where I visited Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. —one of the largest family-owned breweries in the U.S., inspired by the founder’s story of being denied loans before building a global success. I also explored the French Broad River and Blue Ridge Mountains, and spent time in Chapel Hill. In Canada, I explored deeply: Niagara Falls, CN Tower (all the way up), Toronto Islands, Blue Mountain Village, Parry Sound, Sudbury, Georgian Bay, Wasaga Beach(the longest freshwater beach in the world-about 14km long), Creemore Springs Brewery, the smallest jail in North America (Creemore Jail), GoodLot Farmstead Brewing in Caledon, St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market(Canada’s largest year-round farmers’ market) in Waterloo, the Stratford Festival(the most famous theatre festivals in North America) among many more towns. I also visited Montreal (Old Montreal, Notre-Dame Basilica, Mount Royal, The Ring at Place Ville Marie), Ottawa (Parliament Hill, Senate, House of Commons, Rideau Hall, 24 Sussex Drive, Rideau Canal), and traveled by train and bus between Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston, Belleville, Cobourg, Oshawa, and Toronto. From the U.S., I continued to Hawaii, then to Australia, where I took a 14-day Pacific cruise visiting New Caledonia, Fiji, Vanuatu, and Dravuni Island, spending time in island communities. In Australia, I road-tripped extensively through Queensland and beyond: Port Douglas, Mount Carbine, Cairns, Mission Beach, Magnetic Island, Townsville, Airlie Beach, Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Blackbutt, Sydney, Melbourne, Bundaberg Rum Distillery, and coastal Great Barrier Reef regions. Across continents—North America, the Pacific Islands, and Australia—I’ve traveled not just to see places, but to understand communities, culture, agriculture, art, governance, and human connection. I believe travel is not about ticking boxes. It’s about stories, courage, and shared experiences.

If I have time I do walk around my guests around the City, I like sharing stories and I would be happy to host guests who are open and free to interact. I offer my guests a nice room to sleep and full access to free Wi-Fi. So long as you have something to cook, you are free to use our modern kitchen and utensils, infact we can prepare meals together.
