Hello!

My name is Rafael, I live in Baião, a small and quiet town in the north of Portugal, about 50 minutes from Porto. I’m someone who really enjoys culture, arts, meaningful conversations and sharing experiences with others. I’m curious by nature and I love meeting people from different countries and backgrounds.

I have a strong connection to culture, history and creativity — I enjoy theatre, cinema, literature, music and everything that involves stories and human connection. I also value simple pleasures: good food, good wine, nature, and moments of calm.

Baião is a perfect place if you want to discover a more rural and authentic side of Portugal. Here you can enjoy mountain landscapes, the Douro River, traditional villages, excellent wines and very good local food. It’s a slower rhythm of life, ideal to relax and truly experience the country beyond the big cities.

I’m very happy to host people in my home and make them feel welcome. If needed, I can pick you up and later take you to the train station. I enjoy helping visitors discover the area and sharing what makes this place special to me.
