I’m Rafael (or Raf, or Rafa). I'm from Brazil, currently living in Rio de Janeiro. I’m an easy-going, friendly, spontaneous, extroverted guy and I love getting to know new people, specially from different cultures. I’ve lived in the UK before. I love traveling around Brazil and Europe. I also plan to travel to Asia soon. I’ve been to 12 countries so far and hope I can visit more. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Here to make friends and have new experiences. For every vacation I get, I try to travel and experience life in new ways. I don’t travel to visit museums or landmarks, those experiences don’t really stay with me. I’d rather walk around, just go out and walk, explore, eat at a local restaurant, go to a bar, even shopping at the local market amuses me, as trivial as that may be. I like to experience the local life while I’m abroad, if that makes sense. To me its not just about a free accommodation and saving money. The best memories I have are of the people I’ve met and places I went to that I wouldn’t have if someone hadn’t shown me. This doesn’t mean expect you to show me around, go out with me and introduce me to everything lol no worries. I would never expect or impose something like that.
