ABOUT ME

My best friend would say that I am compassionate, dependable, curious and fun-loving. I tend to be the "go to" person for advice. Living life to its fullest and enjoying my moments guide my decisions. Because of my curious nature, I would consider myself a life long learner. I have been told that I smile all of the time, which can be infectious. This I believe to just be a reflection of the smile within me. My favorite quote:

The people I have met thus far via CS brought joy to my experience. I know I am better for meeting them and it has truly supported my belief that people are good. Surf On!

兴趣

I love people! and will engage in conversation with just about anyone who is willing. Others' opinions and thoughts fascinate me so gaining another's perspective enriches my life. Wherever I am, I enjoy learning about and participating in the local culture.

I am an avid runner and prefer connecting with an area in this manner. Beaches, wooded trails, and side roads are my favorite paths. Art, history, wine, and food keep me fueled and well balanced. Don't miss the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at the de Young in San Francisco!

New on my list, is language. I would love to speak Italian for one of my dream vacations of learning to cook in Italy.

I have eclectic tastes for media and appreciate most genres. My current read is Elizabeth The Struggle for the Throne by David Starkey. Queen Elizabeth I has been a long time mentor for me and Starkey's approach to her childhood and adolescence is quite refreshing.

Three Dog Night, T. Rex, Wham, Earth Wind & Fire, Berlin, Dead or Alive, Prince, Flo Rida, Bon Jovi Bare Naked Ladies, Blue October, James Morrison and Barclay Martin Ensemble are just a few artists comprising my playlist.

I will see just about anything Robert Downey, Jr plays in. My latest faves are King's Speech, My Week with Marilyn, and Anonymous. Can't wait to see Snow White and the Huntsman.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Swimming with the sting rays at the Cayman Islands has to be the most amazing experience. They are such playful creatures. It seems like the "biggest" of any species gets most of the attention and food. I will never forget a smaller ray swimming up from behind me to tickle my tummy with his fin for a bite to eat:)

When I was 15, I participated in a student tour to the United Nations in New York. Being raised in a very small East Texas town, my world view was somewhat limited. Seeing so many cultures, languages, and political points of view all in one place sparked a life long desire to know and appreciate my fellow humans. I truly believe that TOGETHER we can make the world a better place.
