HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started with surfing in the Philippines in 2011, I instantly began to host people and looked for other CouchSurfers in my place. It's a perfect win-win situation :)
I am currently traveling with some kind of pasta maker for traditional Swabian pasta, specialty for the area I grew up. It's called Spätzle, and so far I made them in the following countries:
Germany
Austria
Italy
Philippines
Australia
Vanuatu
Fiji
New Zealand

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent half a year in the Philippines, studying marine biology, learning so much about the country, the people and the sea. Was couchsurfing a lot when I had time besides my studies, met fascinating people and experienced a very different way of living.
About one year after I returned to Austria, I decided to work in the Philippines for my Bachelors Thesis, helping local Fishermen dealing with marine invasive species.
After that time I spent more time hosting people than actual surfing for a long time, untill I was hitting the road again in 2017.

I want to travel the world and see all the interesting places I've heard of. Learn about nature and culture on my planet. Love to dive and climb to see whats underneath the sea and above the mountains.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My Bachelors Thesis was about a starfish that became extremely overpopulated and is currently destroying coral reefs worldwide. I was building up a privately supported project in the Philippines were i saw the worst outbreaks of this predator with my own eyes.
It's about the crown-of-thorns starfish and the problem it can cause in coral reef ecosystems.
My project has been closed for years now, the problem is still there... I don't know anymore what to think of this dying world of ours

I really love music, so I love to learn how to play instruments. atm I can only handle a guitar and a ukulele, but maybe one day I could play the bagpipe... would be awesome!

I am not a professional chef, but friends say I could be. I love creating something, and the easiest way to do this everyday is to create food. Ask me for it, and if you have any special things you've heard about at my place you wanna try, i might be able to cook that for you.
And I might be good in solving problems, if I know about them. Or do some handcraft stuff or maybe fix things...
