About Me

I am just your average guy from the U.S.A, I love ice hockey and swimming and other sports, I play the guitar and sing and write music, I love to cook and experience new flavors and styles in all things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whenever I traveled anywhere growing up, it was with the whole family (six people total) so we generally stayed in nice hotels with two or three rooms between us. That's nice and comfy and all, but you don't get anything out of it; no matter how nice a hotel is (or a hostel, for that matter) there is no personal touch and no real experience. I could never learn nearly as much staying at a hotel as I could by staying with a real person. I see this as an opportunity to truly experience a culture and hopefully to return the favor someday!

Interests

Detroit Red Wings Ice Hockey
Swimming
making music
Investments/business
honestly, my interests change constantly. So many things are interesting, and especially when you're travelling you can suddenly take up a new hobby and then something else is no longer interesting, so i guess this is less relevant!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

drank a bottle of tabasco with my Captain (as a private) after a 25 mile forced march with heavy packs etc and after we ran out of water...all that was left was tabasco so we drank that too. In hindsight, not the best idea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a vast knowledge of useless facts.
I can share a powerful enthusiasm for cooking delicious mediterranean foods
I can share extensive knowledge of investments and financial planning
I can share my emergency medical knowledge, in case something goes horribly wrong on a night out.
In short, I can share lots of stuff, the question is, do you want me to?
