About Me

ABOUT ME

We three sisters travel the US in a big, ol' '66 LA transit bus with intentions to learn and grow toward a more sustainable and balanced future.

Caitlin, Natalie and Jamie. That's us.
We're a terrific trio that gets shit done!
After we completely outfitted the interior of this circus-tin-on-wheels to be our home, we ran away from the heat of Texas in search of adventure, community, radicals and our inner selves.
We've been on the road for- how long? We can't remember anymore. Numerically it's been something like 16 months, but a second is an hour and an hour is a day in our world...

We are currently in AUSTIN, TEXAS and looking for a place in town from now until mid-February (totally flexible!).

PHILOSOPHY

We three friends got together so distraught upon the state of the earth and the way capitalistic society and culture are causing such a rapid decline of the health of her and ourselves.. We asked ourselves, what can we do? There's no easy or right solution, is one thing we agreed upon. No matter what lifestyle we stepped forward into, we were going to be cornered by capitalism. At least until we could begin to sustain ourselves again, off of the land, in a balanced way that respects the earth and gives back everything that is borrowed. We've realized, if we desire for future human consciousness to live on for more generations than one or two, then we had to re wild, in a sense... Learn to again leave only footprints. This bus endeavor is certainly not the answer. But we have taken indescribable steps toward breaking free of those chains.

Someday, we wont drive this bus around anymore. We'll park it on some glorious acreage where we'll be thankful for it's shelter while we work in tune with nature around us and begin living a harmonious existence once again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, we have returned from our amazing bus life to visit friends and family in Austin, TX! We plan to be here until mid-February, and need a place in town to bounce in and out of while we are here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We worked together with seven others to start a radical co-op in Austin, where we built gardens, raised chickens, enjoyed community meals, and (seems like) always had someone sleeping on the couch. We've been fortunate to stay with close friends and family along our route, and have also met amazing new folks who've been generous enough to host us at their homes.
