Hello! I’m a PhD researcher from IIT Bombay, India, currently visiting the University of Avignon for three months for research purposes.

I am passionate about learning, travelling, and connecting with people from different cultures. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to meet locals, exchange experiences, and understand places beyond the tourist perspective.

I joined Couchsurfing to experience places through local perspectives and to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

As a researcher who travels for academic work, I often stay in new cities for short periods, and I enjoy learning about daily life, traditions, and hidden spots from locals.

I believe travel is not only about visiting places, but also about building meaningful human connections. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to share stories, exchange ideas, and create lasting memories.

I am also happy to give back to the community by hosting or meeting travellers whenever possible in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a mix of music depending on the mood — from Indian classical and Bollywood to soft rock and instrumental music.

I like movies that are thought-provoking or based on real stories. I enjoy films about history, science, and human psychology.

For books, I mostly read non-fiction related to mathematics, economics, and behavioural science. I also enjoy biographies and books about society and culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to a new country alone for research and adapting to a completely different culture and language has been an amazing experience for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy sharing knowledge about mathematics, research life, and academic experiences in India and Europe. I am happy to explain basic concepts of game theory, problem-solving, and study techniques to anyone interested.

I would love to learn more about local culture, language, traditions, and everyday life in different countries. I’m also interested in learning new perspectives on history, society, and personal experiences from people I meet.
