My name is Raha, and my biggest passion is history or anything related to the past. I'm married and currently study master's in the History of Science at the University of Manchester. I've been using Couchsurfing since 2014, and most of my past CS activity was in Jakarta, Indonesia. I arranged and attended lots of meetups, and it was a fantastic experience to know new people who also love to travel.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I know about Couchsurfing from the internet, found it when did a random browse. Have had an account since 2011, but started to be more active in 2014. My first impression is that Couchsurfing is a great grand project from and for all travelers around the world. You can meet many interesting personalities here. Travelling is the big theme, but in deep Couchsurfing is about exercising our sense of humanity.

Interessen

I love traveling and meeting new people. Human interaction is really interesting and beautiful for me. Any personality that I meet helps me to know myself better and hope I have positive feelings for them too. But let's say that I'm more into a place that has a historical value. I like to understand past cultures and their present context, it gives me a unique sensation. Said so, I am most likely to be seen at museums, galleries, heritage sites, and cultural centers.

I like culture, mythology, science, philosophy, and literature too. So if you like to meet and talk about these things, I'm sure that we can have a really good conversation. My hobbies are reading, writing, and playing some games (mostly classic such as SNES, GBA, etc). And yeah, I'm a movie freak and have many collections of it, mostly the old ones.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Being active in CS, I have a chance to meet many interesting characters. I absorb their wisdom and knowledge, to make myself a better person. With it, I got a chance to show other people my kind of lifestyle too. We, a bunch of humans, share a life; it's beautiful from my point of view. And because CS too, it revived my adventurous side. So far, Bromo Mountain left a special mark on my heart. I will travel more to push the limit of amazing things that I've done.

I can share a lot of things. But if you want to know more about history, you can ask me. History is my passion! I can teach you any general things about Indonesia though. Well, I want to learn anything from other people, as long as it is positive from my point of view. Just throw anything interesting for me to learn, and I'll be happy for it. Kindness is a good thing, and I hope that we can share it.
