About Me

Request: I don't have any references here as I just joined but if you want to be sure about me as a guest surfer and check if I am a decent person to host. I request you to find more about me here http://bit.ly/csrahul

About Me

I am a traveller at heart and an Entrepreneur at mind. Just joined Couchsurfing to become a part of this movement.

Travelling has taught me the life lessons which no school could ever do. It feels great to wake up in a new city and go out to explore its culture, architecture and not only the crowded touristy spots but some hidden gems with local friends.

Have backpacked solo in 10 countries so far and lived in 3 of them.

I am an Indian, born and brought up in India so have travelled extensively in the north and some parts of south. Ask me anything about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I left my job to start my own startup in Southeast Asia. Travelling to Singapore where I plan to find and rent my own place.

Until then I thought I can couch surf for a few days and make new friends in the city. Connect with other world trotters and start my life in the new country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't read fiction :)

Some of the books I have read and recommend are
1. The power of habit - a great book to understand how our habits affect us, how to change bad habits and make new (good) ones
2. Never split the difference - best book on negotiation by an ex FBI hostage negotiator Chriss Voss
3. Thinking in bets - making decisions like bets and improving your decision making in all small big aspects of life
4. What I learned losing a million dollars - they cycle of making and losing money and learning from it
5. Man's search for meaning - a book written by a holocaust surviving doctor who remained positive and tried to find the meaning of life in the face of death
6. Essentialism

on the reading list
- All of Yuval Harari
- All of Nassim Nicolas taleb

Movies - any good movie (I don't watch as many as I used to though)

Shawshank redemption, All of Godfather series, All of rocky series, and 100s of more movies I can't remember right now
