About Me

𝙄 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙚𝙖, 𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙮.
I come from the land of Atithi Devo Bhava (Guest is God) and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is One Family).
I travel not just for changing what’s outside, for reinventing what’s inside. There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged, to find the ways in which you yourself have evolved.
It's good to have an end to a journey; but it is the journey that matters, in the end. The 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐘 is the reward!
We perpetually hear 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 about wars and disasters ad nauseum. What we don’t hear about is, how affable the world is. The world is a wonderful place and kindness is ubiquitous. Good people are more omnipresent than bad people. If you put your trust in people, they will respond with benevolence. Paranoia about being harmed by people is detrimental to our society.
Get out into the world. Too many people never experience nature. Instead of a Netflix binge next Sunday, go on a walk or a bike ride. If you can afford it, 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋. The world is amazing, whether you’re in Chiang Mai, the Pamir Mountains or the suburbs of Mumbai. Alas, too many people don’t experience it.
If we were meant to stay at one place, we'd have roots, instead of feet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The world is a book, and those who don't travel read only a page.
I'm an explorer. I'm here to meet people from different walks of life, across geographies. There's so much to learn and share; one day at a time. Let's make this world a tad better! 😊
CS provides a wonderful platform/opportunity to explore the history, culture, cuisines et al. of a country/place, through the lens of incredibly warm, diverse and friendly locals.
I love CS!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some of the mildly absurd, wildly intriguing things I’ve done (and lived to tell the tale):
- Climbed an actual active volcano at the ungodly hour of 2 AM- because apparently, nothing says “good morning” like molten lava and a cinematic sunrise.
- Went scuba diving on a whim, without knowing if I was signing up for coral-spotting or a near-death experience. Thankfully, it was mostly fish and euphoria.
- Consumed 300+ books in 3 years. Yes, actual books. Yes, I still have friends (barely).
- Voluntarily starved for 72+ hours several times. Once went 5 days without food- not because I was broke, but because I was spiritually broke.
- Toured 80% of India, one train delay and monsoon downpour at a time. Passport says India, Google Timeline says nomad.
- Broke into song with an immigration officer in Uzbekistan. Turns out “Chaiyya Chaiyya” transcends borders and bureaucracies.
- Walked into a country that had the audacity to reject my visa. They said no; I said “Watch me.”They welcomed me with open arms, seeing the USA visa.
- Slept on an airport floor. Pillow: a backpack. Ambience: snoring strangers and fluorescent lighting.
- Hitchhiked across international borders. Because why take a cab when you can rely on the kindness (or recklessness) of strangers?
- Got detained for 2 hours in Russia because I no longer resembled my passport photo. Apparently, losing 20 kilos makes one a national security threat.
- Travelled to both the Arctic and Antarctic Circles, just to confirm cold is, in fact, cold everywhere. Experienced polar days in the largest city above the Arctic circle
- I've stood breathless (literally) in La Paz, the world’s highest capital- where the air is thin but the views are thick- and descended to Baku, the lowest capital on Earth, where I was technically below sea level yet still riding high on vibes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to spread awareness on personal finance, fitness, nutrition and well being. I've been an avid fitness enthusiast for over a decade. Love to learn more about people, cultures, places and cuisines. I equally love to enlighten people about my country- Incredible India.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like getting something small from my country/city, especially sweets or savoury snacks for my hosts. Ergo, please don’t hesitate to ask, should you like something specific. I would love to get it.
I'm into fitness and well-being for over a decade. I can offer valuable guidance on meditation, behavioral psychology, intermittent fasting, Ikigai et al. I can also share knowledge on financial literacy.
I can also share tips/tricks, travel hacks and how to plan a trip to the countries or cities (in India) that I've personally explored.
