About Me

Hola! In our modern society I seek raw human connection. I love people! Hearing their stories, sharing mine, and figuring out how we can teach each other. A great way to make those connections is through art. My favorite forms of expression are playing music (ukulele, tambourine, guitar, mandolin, and singing), writing, painting, and wood burning. I am independent and open minded while retaining my southern etiquette. Mostly, I crave adventure and the wisdom that comes with exploring nature. Oh, I love plants!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Folk music thrives in my soul. As generic as it sounds I can appreciate almost all music. I really enjoy classical symphonies, jazz, indie rock, and old school hip hop.

Movies: I enjoy a really good dark comedy. Musicals are typically awesome. I don't do scary movies. Across the Universe will always probably always be my favorite. I've recently discovered Wes Anderson (director) and I think his work is beautiful. Documentaries are always good as long as it's not largely biased.

Books: Hmmmm... It's impossible to choose a favorite. I love historical fiction and stories of spiritual quests. I've recently read "Radiance of Tomorrow" by Ishmael Beah. In the aftermath of the war in Sierra Leone, a village comes together to regain the beauty of life as it was in the past. It was really good! I've also been self studying medicinal herbs from National Geographic's "Medicinal Herbs." I love reading about theology and certain philosophy. The only thing I wont read is romantic novels lol

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the gift of music! I am a conversationalist with plenty life experience to relate and provide insight. I know a bit about medicinal herbs and nutrition. I practice meditation and would love to share my morning stretches. I like to live with a spiritual agenda and this often provides wisdom or encouragement in times of need. I think I'm funny but I guess that's for you to decide lol
