PHILOSOPHY

Open your eyes and take a look around you... you might be surprised at what you find. Essentially, I think that there is beauty to be found in most things.

I also intend to travel more, when the opportunity presents itself. This shows where I have already been, and gives me something to improve on:

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2008 I hosted 18 people from 9 different countries for a total of 22 nights. I have also couchsurfed in Poland for 5 days.

I've also had lots of fun nights, drinking and ceilidh dancing in Edinburgh and hosted an easter egg party at my place. Unfortunately I have found that prospective couch surfers have started expecting too much, so sadly have closed my couch for business. I may open it up again in the future if I regain my trust in CSers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favourite couchsurfing experience has not been staying with a particular host, but a group of us all getting together to spend the night under the stars.

We made a 3 hour journey to drive 60km south of Paris with 10 desperate suffocating illegal immigrants in the back of a Hertz transporter van, then spent 2 hours trekking after a crazy Canadian / Mexican couple whilst carrying 40kg of food, water and camping supplies.

When we finally made it through the sand dunes and built our fire we spent the night on a beach in the middle of a forest watching shooting stars. It was beautiful.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I have driven the Nürburgring Nordschleife (also called the 'Green Hell') track / decommissioned ringroad in Germany. That was pretty amazing.
