About Me
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!! I CANNOT HOST FROM AUGUST 10TH TO SEPTEMBER 5TH !!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there, I'm a 31 year-old guy. After a first job in Paris, and a few months of volunteering in Lithuania, I'm finally back in my birth region and very happy about it.
I was infected with "travelling virus" in 2005, when I went to Iceland for a 2-month training in Reykjavik. So far, I've visited many countries in Europe and the Pacific NW, and I hope I'll be able to continue ... And I enjoy it more with CS, since you get to know local people and it's easier to get into everyday life.
About my personality
I'm not the most talkative person but, from my own experience, it's never been a problem as long as we have interests in common.
I do care about my hosts or surfers, and I'll always try to have a positive exchange with them.
Lately, I've been trying to enjoy every moment in life, and to get more positive energy. I also focused on getting more self-confidence. Coming out of the closet, finding love (almost by coincidence !) and having positive feedback from relatives, friends and colleagues was my greatest achievement in life so far.
You get to live only once, so enjoy life the way it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Help people to get to know my home country. There's so much to discover in France, each region having its own identity. So ask me if you need advice :)
All experiences were positive so far (hosting as well as surfing). Before I created my profile here, I had already hosted some people when I was living in Paris, and it went well too.
Interests
- Travelling : visit new places and meet new people. But not just being a tourist ( I just can't stand being in the crowd all day), I always like to get into the local life.
- Sports : mountain hiking (after 12 years living next to the mountains, that's a surprise ...), running, bike riding, climbing, swimming, kayak, rafting. Oh, and did I forget to mention, I've practiced rowing for 4 years.
- Cooking : unless I'm really missing time and motivation (sometimes that happens haha), I always make my own meals. That's good news for you since you may get a chance to taste it. And I'm of course interested in sharing recipes :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music ? Almost all kinds, in fact it really depends on my mood. I listen to pop as well as jazz, rock, classical or French variety. Films, books ? mostly those related to alternative way of living, natural disasters, or with historical background.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in foreign countries (2 months in Iceland, 3 months in Lithuania).
Did the Vogalonga in Venice (a 32-km course on the lagune).
Been on Mount Saint Helens crater rim on a perfectly clear weather.
Swam into Crater Lake, with a 55°F water.
