Massive summer road trip

ABOUT ME

I'm on a big road trip from Colorado > LA > SF > Tahoe > zigzagging up through Oregon > Seattle > Vancouver and Vancouver Island > Whistler > Kamploops > Banff > Montana > Wyoming to do some mountain biking and hiking and figure out where "home" should be next...

I've lived in Denver area, St. Louis (college), Vegas (in my 20s), Hawaii and New Zealand (moved every 6 months to chase the summer months) and since I'm not feeling Hawaii as a place to stay for 1/2 the year so it's time to explore...

I LOVE mountain biking (cross country and downhill) and this upcoming trip is all about the biking for me.
I also enjoy a good hike and LOVE hot springs.
I'm comfortable camping, on a couch or in a spare room if you have one to offer me :)

I can make you breakfast if you like, swap stories of travel (have traveled through Vietnam, Cambodia, The Philippines, Bali, Tasmania and east coast of Oz, New Zealand, Hawaii, Peru and Bolivia, plus some others)

PHILOSOPHY

Honesty rules. Stay healthy, respect yourself and others. Live life to the fullest. Live well, love much, laugh often. Hugs not drugs! The world is a better place when I am my authentic self.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ive been an active host and sometimes surfer for years. Took some time off hosting but hoping my karma points are still there for some places to stay. Loved having over 100 different people through my house. I love meeting different types of people and having interesting conversations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted way more than I have surfed. I can entertain myself or be happy to have a tour guide for the day. I think after being a host for so long I understand what makes a drama free guest - ideally we leave as friends who see each other again!

Meeting like minded and different minded folks to expand our outlook on life and open up doors to new experiences!

Mountain biking is a big interest at the moment.
I was a stage manager for large scale production shows in Las Vegas so theatre and shows hold a special place in my heart.
Relationships are really interesting to me - the struggles, what works, what doesn't...
Travel, travel, travel!!

Feb 2010 - quit my job to follow my dreams, hiked across the Grand Canyon, shaved my head to raise money for cancer, watched flowing lava in Hawaii, helped my lose 30 pounds and feel better at 60 than at 30.
June 2014 - this roadtrip.
