"Hello there! My name is Rajat and I come from the lap of Dhauladhar mountains in India. I don't smoke, but traveling, exploring and meeting up with wonderful people is no less than a drug for me. It is an undeniable fact that everyone has preconceived notions about people of different region, color, caste or creed. But my travels have helped me believe that people all over the world are AWESOME and we must embrace everyone with open arms.

I have travelled from northernmost part of India (Kashmir) to the southernmost point (Kanyakumari) and it is no less than a dream come true that I am now in UK with a chance to explore the places that I used to dream some years back.

Talking about my personality, I consider myself to be calm, composed, somewhat silent and reserved, but always ready to help and full of joy when it comes to traveling and exploring new places. So far, all my travels had my friends with me and I have rarely traveled solo. This is the first time I find myself short of a companion and the mere idea of traveling alone is feeling a bit odd to me for some reason.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Hoping to meet up with nice and like minded people who value the fact that we are mortals and have very less time to explore this world.

The pursuit of money will only leave us in regrets. I am 29 now and I look back at last 8 Years of job when I prioritized work more than health, well being and my hobbies. Now I am determined that this will not be the case with my next 8 years :)

Couchsurfing is also a challenge for me. There is a barrier in my mind which keeps telling me that this is probably not a great idea as people would judge me for who I am , where I am from and what I am here for.
