The Couchsurfing experience is quite new to me.
I don't know you and you don't know me.
I was born in East Berlin, so I spend my childhood in a socialistic country - after 1989 - as a teenager - I grew up in reunited Germany.
In East Germany it wan't possible to travel and after the Berlin wall was torn down, we hadn't the money to travel - so I hitchhiked, I hitchhiked mostly all the Western part of Europe over the years, but some parts of East European as well - at this time, before the Internet there wasn't obviously couchsurfing.com, but it was easy to get in contact with the people and you always found a couch to sleep.
Im the visual type - my big passion are pictures - art, filmmaking, drawing storytelling, photografie.
I studied visual communication in Berlin and worked for many years in the Film/ Animationindustrie as a caracterdesigner and conceptual artist.
Nethertheless - sometimes the paths aren't straigt, and however I needed something additional to fresh my mind. So I startete to study medicine while working parallel in the Animation sector.
I studied medicine and after 6 years I got my MD-Doctor- Mmy specialisation is radiology - I stayed at the pictures ;). Today I work as Radiologist, but in my freetime Idraw a lot and work on children books.

Resumee ;)
I like new situations, and interesting people - I guess thats quite normal - so I'm a normal guy.
I like to draw, movies, art - I studied that ;) so I'm offically a Designer ;)
But I like nature as well and like to know how the things work - so I studied medicine as well.
Now i work as a radiologyst - but I draw a lot in my freetime. If there are holidays you can find me on the road xmostly with my girlfriend - then we're usually not couchsurfing.
But sometimes I travel alone - thats when I use couchsurfing.

I Read a Book about couchsurfing in the Iran - it seems to be a great experience - so I became a copycat.
I love unfiltered experiences in different cultures.
