About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wander and explore the world one trail at a time

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going and down to earth person. I have been in Iowa for almost my whole life. I have been to several places in the world including China, Taiwan, Europe and the Bahamas. My ultimate travel destination is exploring Australia.

I am not a picky eater but some say I am crazy for not liking cheese and butter. I work in the advertising field on a Native American Reservation. Soon I will be moving to the country so that will be a whole new experience for a city girl.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do not have a spare couch for visitors but I would be interested in meeting people for coffee or drinks.

I do like the idea of staying and hopping to couch to couch when I travel. I just need to build up my references first.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I don't have any couchsurfing experience yet, but I am eager to start.

Interests

I love to travel to meet new people and explore different cultures. I have been to several countries in the world but I need to see more.

Some of my other interests are photography, cooking and music. I love to stroll through art museums and gaze. I like to decorate and find unique artsy finds. Shopping is also a must do activity. Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons of the year. I like attending outdoor festivals and farmer markets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the amazing things I have done is walk on the Great Wall of China. Here is some advice: Use sneakers when walking on the wall, not flip flops. Walking with flip flops was difficult. It felt like I was sliding when I was walking down the wall. It was so bad that I had to "butt slide" down the wall. It was a fun experience and I would do it again.
