Overview
About Me
Huuh, me?
I started travelling / backpacking as a student and had the luck to experience wonderful people at special places. When I travel things just happen ;-)
After a 20 year hiatus (starting a familiy, building a house, starting a business, getting divorced) I am luckily back on the road.
I love tracking, ski touring, rowing, being part of a community, a good book, whisky.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am curious about people, the world, and life.
And glad to help other people, ie cooking, talking, go shopping, walk the dog, be part of the community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driving a car from Berlin down to Senegal. After having sold the car with pockets full of money through West Africa to Lagos. Picking a flight there to Harare and spending a month in South Africa.
A trip with goold seekers (buscadores de oro) on the rio Orinoco where the engine failed in the middle of nowhere.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I teach?
You can trust your inner self when you learn to endure your inner pain.
I love rowing. So there is a something to pass along. Computers are not a mystery to me. The German language can be tricky. Try to improve your knowledge with me ;-)
What do I want to learn?
Well, Salsa and some Latin American dance moves would be a great thing. Though I have no idea if I have any talent.
Learning never stops, be it preparing Japanese ramen, scuba diving, horse riding, diving into a philosophical school of thought.
What do I want to share?
Cooking is an art.
Age has its advantages.
Curiosity never dies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
