About Me

ABOUT ME

I am am open and sociable person, who enjoys meeting new people. I love coffee and tea and I am a sometimes an annoyingly talkative person.

I've had the summer of my life in 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria, as an Erasmus student and met so many amazing people I'm now hooked on it. I also know what it's like to be a traveler and how much it helps to see a city from the eyes of a local. There's so much you won't find on a map. So my door is always open to whoever is in need of it, despite my little activity on this site (I'm new in this business, remember).

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and showing them around town. I love to talk about how awesome Cluj is. I feel like I should also mention here that I'd rather not host anyone for more than a couple of nights, simply to avoid any problems that might appear after spending too much time with a person you just met - I realized people feel like they're in each other's space after a couple of nights.

I'd love to travel more myself and use couchsurfing because I feel it's the best way of getting the best of both worlds. I'd love to explore a city from both the touristy and the local point of view.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty variate, but i mostly enjoy electronic music and indie. I have recently seen Alt-J live in Milano, and I was amazed by their performance. I've also seen other bands live, such as Roger Waters, 30 seconds to mars, the offspring, die antword. I'm a big fan of music festivals.

My favourite book genre is fantasy. I'm reading a lot of Joe Abercrombie lately. My flatmate and I have a quite impressive book collection, most of which is in English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have lived in Cluj for almost 4 years already, so I am informally competent to give a tour of the city, museums and legends included :).

I used to be a guide in Turda, which is only 30 km away from Cluj. You might have heard about the Turda Salt mine, which is currently one of the most impressive attractions in the area, and Turda gorges.
