Overview
About Me
I am a grounded Brooklynite with as much of a mind to climbing-corporate-ladder ambitions as poetic musings. While I like the thrill of the hunt, I equally value time spent in the company of warm friends. Life seems to have more to offer than I can make time for at times, which can be as invigorating as overwhelming. However, seeing the possibility does not compromise focus or a sense of direction, which requires a simple costume change; after all, there is a time and a place. I could as easily spend a day alone drawing as in good company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I Recently returned to the city after time home in Erie, PA supporting a sick mom and a sister transitioning out of undergrad into a profession. I am looking to stabilize and gain traction.
Interests
I am actually interested in almost everything, though it is difficult to find time to do it all. I could talk for hours. I love the 18th century satyr as much as modern art. While I have loved reading a good non-fiction as much as dense tracks on ontology, I find myself filling my time with articles because I can spent more time living; I am always open to new adventures. I could enjoy spending a day in idle chatter while brunching with a new friend as much as trying to surpass the pace in the daily rat race. The one interest that subsumes all others is a genuine love for life.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are way to many in each category to provide a complete and comprehensive list; in fact the list seems to grow exponentially with each day. In movies and TV, some of my favorites include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mean Girls, the works of Jean Pierre-Juenet, South Park, the works of Pedro Amoldovar, etc. In books, a few of my favorite authors follow: Toni Morrison, Michel Foucault, Jean Baudrillard, Edith Wharton, Jacques Derrida, Jefferey Eugenides, Italo Calvino, Robert Greene, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner, etc. Although it seems considerably easier for me to appreciate the contemporaries in music than classics, I like no less in variety; some of my favorites include Kelis, Phantogram, Sia, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Nicki Minaj, Florence & the Machine, Metric, M83, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing is hard to offer, because I always aim for amazing; I have done everything from moving to NYC at 18 on my own to hiking Manchu Picchu. While an undergrad, I balanced three majors and a full-time job at one of the best corporate law firms globally. Despite the challenges, I graduated, on time, with honors. Upon graduation, my firm promoted me into a two year paralegal program in which I occupied the only non-ivy league seat at the table. As long as I breath, I will aim to do as much with my time as possible. Things that have made the bucket list are sky diving before 30 and backpacking through Europe.
Teach, Learn, Share
Perhaps, a little redundant, though I am not only curious on how different people would respond here, but also I love to share; please see other categories. I would also most definitely be willing to assist either in ESL aims or manuscript proofreading/editing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share warm company, a decent meal, cleaning, and excellent organizational skills - with special emphasis on the latter; serving the best lawyers in finance has made me more than a little neurotic when it comes to keeping things in order. On cooking, I am no food expert, I have been told that I cook well. However, I compensate for below expert culinary ability in a sincere smile and stimulating conversation.
I am the consummate conversationalist, who not only enjoys watching trash TV as much as an art gallery, but also has had some experience with all walks of life. I am curious to a fault, so I read everything from radical French philosophy to the impact of big data on corporate enterprise. I can also spend hours in discourse on the broader philosophical, cultural, sociological, etc. implications of cinema.
Countries I’ve Visited
Brazil, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru
