About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling through South Korea & Japan!

ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Ramiro, 22 years old from Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I'm a bit of an introvert but enjoy meeting new people and experiencing their culture. When possible, I prefer to travel for extended periods of time, since I don't think you can truly understand a country and its people as a simple tourist.

I want to meet people that can show me around or suggest interesting and unique things to do; but also enjoy just hanging out, grab a beer and get to learn about each other and our respective cultures and experiences!

PHILOSOPHY

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
-Friedrich Nietzsche

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to meet new people and learn about cool events and places to go. I can't really host and while I'm interested in surfing it's by no means necessary.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, for now!

Interests

I have way too many and they are always shifting!
Music, movies, books, languages, computers, skiing and of course travelling are the ones that never seem to change, though. I wanna take up snowboarding sometime too.

Music, Movies & Books

Movies:
Too many to choose from, I like historical movies the most but anything is good as long as it makes you think or produces a strong feeling/emotion.

Music:
I'm really open to different genres but the ones I like the most are post-rock, progressive, shoegaze and classical music.

Books:
My favorite books change all the time! I'm really into mysteries or books with dark and gloomy themes that can suck you into the atmosphere. My favorite author is Edgar Allan Poe.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Cataratas de Iguazú (Iguazu Falls) / Glaciar Perito Moreno.

Really puts into perspective how small we are and how wonderful and intriguing the world we live in can really be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit of everything and not too much of anything. I have a passion for languages and would love to share mine and try to learn yours. And while music is a really subjective topic, I'm always in for an engaging discussion and exchange of our musical preferences.

Countries I've Visited

Brazil, Chile, United States, Uruguay

Countries I've Lived In
