ABOUT ME

I think I am more or less calm, people also say so, and this is what my name is supposed to mean. But sometimes I laugh and talk very loudly, and all this calmness disappears somewhere:)I don't like to talk too much, and sometimes prefer to remain silent, but sometimes (recently- pretty often) totally on the opposite. I started to appreciate various people's company more than I did before. But I still don't like shallow minded people. Sometimes I am too serious. But don't be afraid, I can also be easygoing, I mean I am, in special occasions:)I like to cook, though I think I still have to learn many things:) I am vegetarian.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we- human race- are only guests on this planet, and we have already done more than enough of harm to it. So I would like to do as little harm as possible, and not to create too ambitious plans for my staying here, as all what we do is only screaming in the wind. Let's not scream too much. Let's love:)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spreading CS ideas among people who I meet in my everyday life - on the street, traveling, hitchhiking...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a lot of couches, while I was able to host only a few people till now. But when I'll live in my own apartment, I will try to give back my debt to Couchsurfing community. I have already surfed more than 25 places (or something around this number), and only two times had some negative experience, but this didn't frighten me. One of those times is related with a negative reference which I have in my profile (if you would like to know the story - just ask, it is nothing special or shameful).

兴趣

Mushrooms, herbs (especially curative), animals (for this moment - especially donkeys). Ecological farming, permaculture, growing fruits, vegetables and herbs, and sharing them with people. About human beings - personal relationships and roots of evil, roots of self-destruction and other paradoxical things in all of us.

Music - some time ago I started to discover classical music, but I am still the beginner in that. But I still have my previous love for some punk-ska music, old rock and rock'n'roll, "Gogol Bordello"...

Books - my passion. A lot of them, some very good Lithuanian authors, as well as Marquez, Bulgakov, Kafka, Shultz, Magda Sabo, Giunter Grass and others.

After two nights without sleep -taking a bath in the cave and sleeping near there on the rock in Trieste (Italy).

I can share some skills in picking mushrooms (at least those which grow in Lithuanian forests) and curing herbs.
