Overview
About Me
We are two sisters (Mona and Caro) from Munich, Germany. Currently we are backpacking through Japan and looking forward to getting to know the culture here a little better.
We are easy to get along with and are always up to help out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We heard from our Cousin that she used couchsurfing in New Zealand and she was really excited about it. At first we could not imagine to travel this way, but tried it anyway. And we found out that it is a great way to not only experience the country, but also the culture and the people. By now,we understand what our cousin was talking about :)
Interests
We both are Scout leaders in Germany. We like to spend time with the Kids but also enjoy the evenings with other leaders. For us it is great to belong to this huge and international youth organization.
We love to explore new countries and cultures and are eager to learn new things.
We both like drawing (Mona is into Mangas) and painting.
Beside of this, Mona is doing some oriental Dancing and Caro goes climbing. And she loves board games, card games.
And we both like LAN game parties;D (usually we're playing a lot of UT3, blur and borderlands).
Music, Movies, and Books
Mona likes Animes/movies by the Ghibli Studios. She read a lot of Mangas (e.g. Naruto, One Piece, Inu Yasha,...) and likes
Caro reads a lot of Fantasy books at the Moment and likes to watch TV series. Usually either crime something (NCIS, Bones, ...), Fantasy (Dr. Who, firefly, haven, ...) or comedy (Big Bang theory, new Girl, ...).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Caro: hiked a trail in australia where we found out afterwards that there were a lot of buffalos around in that area... I felt freaked out retrospectively ;D
And we watched the Sunset from the wrong side of uluru/Ayers Rock and wondered why there were no tourists :D
Teach, Learn, Share
We love to learn some more japanese words and love to try new (local) food. We are happy to talk about German pecularities and also like cooking. So if you have a kitchen,we might do a little cooking together?
What I Can Share with Hosts
We don't need a lot of space, are satisfied very easily and our expectations for sleeping arrangements aren't high. We clean up after ourselves and leave everything the way we found it - or a little better. We respect the hosts rules and are glad that so many people are willing to share their homes.
