Well, I'm an American who's here until March, unless I can get an extension on my visa. I have one lined up over winter 2016.

I grew up in a small town of 500 people in central illinois, 5 hours south of chicago by car. (traffic dependent) I've been vegetarian for over half my life. I went vegan for a year, but I'm too lazy to keep that up. In the future, I most likely will try to pick it up again.

My plans are to tramp around the south island, meet new friends, have some brews/booze, and just generally have a good time.

I'll clean after a cook; respect your space-time continuum; and generally try to be as helpful as I can be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly, to meet new people, but it's an added bonus to have a nice, free place to shower and sleep. Backpacking around is great, but it's nice to live in luxury every once in awhile.
