About Me

I love anything and everything to do with Biology. It’s my passion. Whether it’s cute and cuddly or down right gross, I’ll probably stick my nose right into it! Other than that, I really enjoy writing and watching movies. I’m a bit of a cinephile. So, I like lazing about and chilling, but I love hiking and being outside as well. I’ve just started diving recently and have logged 17 dives! My goal is to log 20 dives and then get my Advanced Open Water from PADI. Most of all, I really enjoy immersing myself in a new culture, I love learning new languages, customs and eating food. I will literally devour anything that is put in front of me. So, I guess that makes me a foodie too!

I actually have couch surfed two times, but I was travelling with my friends so the reviews are linked below:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing is an amazing way to meet people from all over the world and have new experiences and maybe even find a new friend! The great thing about couch surfing is that it allows me to see what a local’s perspective is on their city and country. It’s great because as a traveler, so often I feel like I just scrape the surface of the place you are visiting. By couch surfing, you can delve a little deeper and have a greater understanding of what life is like in the country you are a visitor. Plus, you meet such amazing and wonderful people that you will probably keep in contact for long after you stay with them!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a cinephile, so it's not a fair question to ask me what my favorite movies are - too many!

Books:
Life of Pi
Pride and Prejudice
Atonement
White Oleander
East of Eden
Harry Potter (but who doesn't!?!)

I love all kinds of music, but my favorite genres are Rap, reggae, R&B and rock

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving in Labuan Bajo with Manta Rays in Indonesia was the best diving experience of my life.
Caving in Sagada, Philippines was the most heart pounding and exciting underground experience ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new languages and eating new foods. I can share Canadian culture as well as some cool tidbits about Iranian culture because that's where my heritage is from.
