I like to create things, concrete or metaphysical--to tear them down into component parts and build them back up. And I like to talk about this process. I like to search for harmony amongst the seemingly disparate, and to use my hands in this process as much as my brain. I like to have a good time. I like to connect with other people and learn from them. I like weird.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently offering coffee and companionship in Oakland, CA. I'm sort of transient at the moment, but hope to start offering a place to stay in the future. I'm interested in providing an alternative approach to passive tourism. Tourist traps are nauseating--traveling should be about exploring the relationship between geography and lifestyle, not wandering silently through sterile exhibits. History should be absorbed through conversation, not read from placards or dictated by uniformed personnel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm brand new to couchsurfing, though no stanger to crashing with folks I've never, or only recently met.
