ABOUT ME

I'm Chandra! I'm currently a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham. I'm double majoring in music performance for violin and environmental science In the summers, I live on the Olympic Peninsula and work and live as a park ranger in Olympic National Park.
As far as I go, I love to jam and hike and climb and explore and read. I'm happy all the time, and pretty easy-going. Anyways, I care about the environment very much- I don't own a car and am a vegetarian. I enjoy almost any outdoors sport; and playing every type of music. I really like spontaneous jam sessions, long conversations, dancing like crazy, cooking, bonfires on the beach, and wild adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace and positivity. I believe that everyone should be treated with compassion. Also, I believe that the earth should be treated with the maximum amount of respect.

Some of my favorite authors are John Steinbeck, J. K. Rowling, Ed Abbey, JRR Tolkein, Alexander Dumas, Charles Dickens, China Mieville, Jon Krakaur, George Orwell, Harper Lee, Kurt Vonnegut, and Joseph Heller.
I love all music except most pop, mainstream hiphop, and mainstream country.
For movies, I like anything that is well made and intriguing.

I have been to many amazing wilderness places. This is amazing because I have seen many different beautiful places and creatures. Each one inspires me as an artist, musician, and scientist.
Also, I've played at Carnegie Hall in NYC, and Sasquatch Music Festival, played some shows with Devotchka, and recorded on some major albums.
Oh, and I love distance and trail running and have run a marathon. Whee!

I'm a park ranger so I can teach you pretty much anything you want to known about the flora and fauna and geology of the Pacific Northwest. Also, I know the Olympic Peninsula very, very well. In addition, I enjoy playing music with anybody and everybody because you can learn something new and important from every musician you play with. I also cook some mean pancakes.
