I'm a writer and TV correspondent who travels the world making television. I get to about 15 countries each year, and love to meet locals and get a true sense of the places I visit.

I am a devout Christian, but have a long way to go before I can say I'm a good one.

We love to make travel easier for others, since I know what it's like to be in a foreign place and not know anyone.

I've slept in refugee camps, fire bases under attack, and deserted jungle islands.

Interests

scuba diving, photography, the study of world religions, and outdoor adventure of every kind. A vacation for me, however, is getting to spend an entire week at home, since my life is what most people would call vacation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hiking through Burma with Karen rebel tribesmen. Riding horses high in the Hindu Kush. Spending a week in a Ukrainian village that had never seen a westerner. Touring Chernobyl. Being one of the first known humans to cross the island of Coiba from coast to coast.
