Overview
About Me
I'm 22 years old and recently graduated from Boston University as a philosophy and psychology double major. I grew up in Kuwait, but I am American-Lebanese.
I am still very young and currently doing a year of service for Americorps, as I plan to go back to school to get my PhD. This is why a network like couch surfing really means so much to me- it gives me the opportunity to mobilize but without spending too much money or letting go of my studies and other interests.
"Sometimes I can feel my bones straining under there weight of all the lives I'm not living." - Jonathan Safran Foer
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have couchsurfed in the West Bank for a few days, and it was really a great experience. We are still in touch. I hope to give back in the same way, for others.
I can host people in Kuwait, but right now I am in a small apartment with a roommate--so there isn't enough space for anyone to be really comfortable.
Interests
I love food and music, especially in a setting where I get to meet new people and hear about their experiences. I am very interested in cross-cultural studies and interdisciplinary education. Now my focus in school is on science and world religions.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, ranging from oriental, classical, HipHop, Reggae, and alternative rock.
I mostly do philosophy reading. Anything from Plato to Nietzsche as well as more science-oriented readings like works by Stephen Hawking and Brian Greene.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I couldn't choose, but these three memories are my favorite:
-Jet-skiing so far out into the Mediterranean until I got lost and could see no land in any direction.
-Night in the Negev desert with OG, where we slept and saw hundreds and hundreds of stars.
-Riding an elephant bareback through the swamps in Thailand.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am eager to share my experience of travel, especially my living experience in the Middle East and university experience in Boston. I am very helpful around the house and do expect to contribute around the house (cleaning up after myself, bringing my own linens, and cooking, etc.).
