About Me

Hi!
My name's Raniero, I love travelling, meeting new people and knowing new cultures!
I lived and studied for many years in Rome, the bustling and vibrant capital of Italy, but, for some years now I have moved to Northern Italy to teach.
Now I live in a small mountain village in the Alps called Cavazzo Carnico, here the lifestyle is much more calm and relaxing than the hectic metropolitan chaos of Rome, I like it!
I'm a very sociable and I can cook very well Italian!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here mostly to make new experiences, to learn German and improve my English, but also because I think that Couchsurfing is a very good way to meet new people from abroad and to be much more in contact with foreign cultures :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very fond of Metal music, but I also like Classic and Lyric music. My favorite movie genre is Fantasy but I also really like Horror :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have to be frank: unluckily my English level is not very good and I need to improve it, indeed the main reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is to practice my English and German! I really want to travel and meet foreign people especially to practice the language! And I can also teach Italian if need be! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook Italian for you every day, if you would like to. I can cook pasta (the classical recipes: Carbonara, Amatriciana, Bolognese, etc.), but I can also prepare the typical Italian espresso or cappuccino every morning! :D
Apart from cooking, I am also an art-lover and I like exploring the history and culture of any place I visit. I like doing excursions and any other thing would enrich myself and the others.
I am a very helpful person and I am always ready to help the others, if need be.
In conclusion, I am a very easygoing person. I don't smoke, but sometimes I can drink a beer or a glass of wine with friends.
I think that if you like travelling and you have some goals to reach in your life, then you'll be ready to face every difficulty, and so far I have always done that with a smile :)
