Lived in the UK for 20 years, now back to Marseille for its sea, nature, and buzzing life...

Life is a gift to be enjoyed responsibly and gracefully. Treat others as you would have them treat you and the world will be a better place for it, we each have our spheres of influence (small or big) and always enrich ourselves when we share part of our journey with others... no gain is too small, no effort ever wasted, never give up on peace and kindness!

Perhaps I'm unable to contribute as I haven'd done Couchsurfing's Fresher's week yet - looking forward to it!

My focus is on sharing, I don't see that we particularly need to teach or learn, although it's great if that happens! I love hospitality when it is offered to me and like the idea that i can do the same. Practical tips on Marseille are available though, there is plenty of local info :-)
