About Me

I am an open-minded 31 year-old German who likes to travel and get to know the world. In my real life I am based in Frankfurt, but I try to escape the natural rhythm as much as I can.

My philosophy: YOLO - You only live once! - Enjoy every day and if you dream about something - do it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing with a friend on a trip around Central America in 2011. Afterwards, I couchsurfed a few places in South America (Argentina/Peru) in 2013 with another friend. In between, working life in Germany didn't allow me to travel that much, but that definitely has to change again, so lets get it on :) I haven't hosted yet, but hey, there is always a first time!

Interests

Besides traveling I enjoy sports (soccer, tennis, snowboarding, outdoor activities, ...), music, all about aviation and activities together with my friends and new open-minded and funny people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musicwise, I am into Rock & Latin American music as well as into Singer/songwriters like Jason Mraz, Milow or Nick Howard. Also, one day I have to see Green Day or Maná live in concert!

Moviewise, well there are good movies in any category, as long as it is an inspiring topic. Still, movies like Italian Job, Lord of the rings (awesome if you travel the actual landscape first hand!), Invictus or Motorcycle Diaries are on my hitlist.

Bookwise...right now books about entrepreneurship, and also a Scandinavian crime novel doesn't hurt once in a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing an active volcano in Guatemala with old running shoes (which melted away and had to be thrown away afterwards :) ) in pouring rain and barbecueing marshmallows above the glowing lava rocks!
