Overview
About Me
I'm Raphael — a Brazilian born and raised, currently based in the U.S. with one foot in the world of social impact and the other in culinary arts. I’ve led nonprofit projects, cooked in kitchens, and still believe the best conversations happen over a shared meal or a sunset walk.
I’m sociable, curious, and down-to-earth. I love meeting people from different backgrounds, listening to their stories, and sharing mine.
I’m passionate about activism, food, nature, art, and meaningful dialogue. Clean, respectful, and substance-free. Let’s exchange more than just a place to stay — let’s exchange perspectives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe the best way to experience a place is through the people who live there. Couchsurfing isn’t just about saving on accommodation — it’s about cultural exchange, spontaneous conversations, shared meals, and creating unexpected connections.
Right now, I’m in a moment of transition — exploring new cities, especially NYC, to understand where I might want to build my next chapter after some time in Brazil. I’m looking to see cities from a local perspective, exchange ideas, and maybe even cook a meal or two together!
