I'm Finnish-Canadian and a musician. I grew up in Canada but have spent the last two years living over in Europe and I love it. Right now I'm based in Northern Finland, 500km north of the Arctic Circle so any excuse to bomb out somewhere sunny (and not -40) I'll take it. When I'm traveling I like to check out what locals actually do, if that's going to a show and having a beer at a shitty pub or going hiking then that's great. I'm pretty bad at actually touristing and seeing all the things I'm supposed to see, I'd rather just hang out and get to know the city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been travelling a lot over the last three years and got introduced to CS through friends who have accounts. I've met so many incredible people already and figured it's about time I got my own account. I've also hosted many people wherever I'm based whether it's bands touring or a lost tourist, so when I'm able to open my home to others I will.

I'm trudging through Infinite Jest at an embarrassingly slow pace right now.

As for music, I'm all over the map- from punk to classical I'm pretty down. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Oneohtrix Point Never, Patti Smith, Tim Hecker, Holly Herndon etc.
