I love both exploring new cities as well as natural areas - I can spend hours wandering around urban neighborhoods but also enjoy watching the natural landscape change when traveling from place to place. I am fascinated with the way humans interact with the (constructed and natural) environment and how a sense of place can influence one's daily experience.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Sitting next to the sea organ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_organ) and listening to it play while people watching was absolutely amazing. It was great to see such a large, diverse group (elderly couples, young families, 20- and 30- somethings picnicking together) all enjoying the same work of art.
