ABOUT ME

I'm open-minded, friendly, somewhat reserved, until my interest is fired up. I am in my first year of Uni, and the friends I've made here, from all over the world, are people I hope to keep close forever. I dislike fighting and I usually try to be rational even in the most annoying situation, though it doesn't always work. I believe in the potential in everybody, and there's nothing I like more than seeing someone's eyes lit up when they are passionate about something.

PHILOSOPHY

I reach outside yourself and touch the world, but I remember that "I am the master of my soul, I am the captain of my fate."

I try to live my life independently, as to not burden anyone, but I will share whatever I have.

I spent ten days traveling around Canada and the U.S.:

Interests

Learning, of course, traveling, meeting people, reading. I like architecture, museums, long talks with interesting people from various backgrounds. I love food, and coffee, and the atmosphere in a group all eating together with no hurry. Currently, I yearn to try out real Chicago deep-dish pizza.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer thought-provoking movies, animated or not, like Grave of the Fireflies. I love music in general, though my soft spot is for alternative and new age. I'll read everything, but my current favorite is War and Peace, by Tolstoi. Pretentious, I know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Feeling the wind in my hair while I looked down on the Côte d'Azur, my sight stretching from Italy to beautiful France from my spot at the end of the Alps, I believed then that beauty was everywhere.
Surviving a car accident with no injuries save for my pride, my sister in the passenger seat forgiving me for putting her in danger through my inexperience, I believed in the beauty of the soul.

I want to learn about people, about what motivates them in their lives, how they see the world and their fellow beings. I can teach you what I have learned of my reflections, and I'll share all around a hot drink.
