I teach and do research in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. (I guess ultimately I do want to try to save the world, but it sounds so corny that I try not to advertise it too much.)

At home or when traveling, I like going for drinks and dancing, just walking around and looking at people and buildings, eating (!), or just hanging around.

I've traveled extensively in Europe and North America as well as the Southern cone of South America, but places on my to see list are:

The Middle East/North Africa: Lebanon, Tunisia, Marocco, Israel
Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Burma, Vietnam, Laos
... And then I would love to spend a few months in India.

And I'm gay [insert rainbow flag emoji here].

I like meeting interesting people.

Interests

Obviously traveling! In addition to that, I'm a huge pop culture geek, spend lots of time following and debating current affairs and politics, learning new languages, watching HBO and Netflix.

When I have the time (i.e. when I travel), I also like to cover some literary ground. Next project is Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once slept standing up for at least a good ten minutes at the Louvre after a particularly grueling week of traveling and not sleeping in Paris.

If nothing else, I am always a captive audience for any- and everything you have to tell me about where you live :) I am also full of good stories from my time in the Danish Parliament or from observing faulty elections in Ukraine (just to mention a few things).
